The current extraction phase is not very creative and gets boring fast. I think the idea can stay but needs to be tweaked. No longer 90 second or longer extraction timers. Make it 60 seconds maximum but make it so that enemies constantly sprinkle in throughout the match in return. Just little by little, usually weak enemies. So that you don’t have free reign to pick up everything you missed and spend all those minutes in non-engaging gameplay and instead have to stay on your toes a bit.
Yes, this can feel unrewarding for people who like to have their map cleared after they killed the bots. For them, I would suggest perhaps lowering the price of mines. Don’t add too many and too obscure spawn points for these reinforcements and like I said: Don’t make the reinforcements too strong or many. You could also add a skill that alerts you of reinforcements (with the upgrade of the skill allowing you to see where the extra units are coming from OR what type of unit they are / what gun they have).
So tl;dr,
more enemies throughout the match, less at the end.
