At the end of the extraction phase - an extraction vehicle would arrive and the players would have to board. Makes it feel more immersive and challenging - you gotta cross that last bit of distance and surivive those extra few seconds before you’re home-free. As opposed to just having to be within a relatively large, arbitrary area at the end of a timer.
This could also take the form of say a code-locked door you have to wait to be cracked, or a large blast-door that takes a while to open.
