+ Loading Screens and UI cleaned up looks great!
+ Gunplay is tighter, more responsive and less ‘floaty’
+ Maps objectively are better in nearly every regard. The use of baracades and random seeding is great. Could use a little more variety but overall really nice.
+ AI improvement noticeable, AI not as ‘aim bot’ as they used to be and will not all be alerted at the same time. Improved roaming and tracking for AI is noticeable.
+ The laptop decryption real time mini game is a great idea.
- Progression for both weapons and gear still not very clear at all. Very confusing with the new progression system. No progression menu to view.
- Timer for both map mission completion and bombs is far too long. Is not a threat or a challenge in the slightest.
- Maps need new challenges, or challenge variations. The main ones currently aren't very distinct and feel very samey. The laptop decryption mini game is a step in the right direction. Bomb defusing should be similar. Other variations like perhaps bomb vest hostages, or like terrorist hunt game modes would be cool. Maybe groups of terrorists that move hostages around the map would be unique.
- Money is completely unbalanced. You can have thousands and thousands of dollars within 2 missions. Make money count, and don't make dead drops so easy to roll. (1200 for a dead drop roll but 5000 for an. AK???)
- Enemy variants would be nice, because we only have one model of enemy, and they all seem to have the same weapons and behaviors.
- Merc doors need to have other things besides ammo and health. Give us unique dead drop weapons you can't get normally, and make the merch doors harder to access. (Mercs drop so many phones by the 4th mission you’ll have 45 and can access any door forever.) Merc phones should be used like a currency. Once used to open a door, you need more to open the next.
- Add additional ammo packs as a gear item you can use (in place of a health pack, grenades, ECT) that gives you more starting ammo for your primary weapon.
- Intel, besides gaining extra money, is absolutely pointless. It's just a bonus thing you collect and feels so useless considering you don't need Intel for anything in this game. It's easy to find everything without it. I typically skip it unless I need money in the first 2 missions.
I’d say Intel should be a random spawned item in some of the maps as you play to be used as sort of a currency for really awesome cosmetics and weapon skins (or even weapons). Make it exciting to find Intel and make them worth something the player wants to use.
- ADS. I know ADS was added to appease the ‘tactical” crowd, but it feels so pointless in this game. The classic shoulder fire gameplay is so much better. Really fits the style of game you guys want.
- Auto lean and ADS conflict with each other when near objects, and auto lean should be turned off by default because of this.
