Solid bones here but still needs a lot of work, here are my biggest issues
1. Guns are too effective at range. SMG’s and Pistols headshot the first shot just fine. This issue leads to second point
2. No meaningful progression once u have even a decent gun. The extra items are not needed to progress through levels, and the guns are already accurate enough u dont need the good ones. I wanted to have reasons to keep spending my money. Some possible solutions, give weapons different star grades that affect stats, so we are incentivized to keep rolling for guns. Starting guns or guns picked off enemies should be low quality.
3. Not forced to be tactical enough or use extra items. Neither the levels or the enemies call for the use of breach charge, door camera, lockpick e.t.c., The game feels really fun to navigate some of the levels carefully like swat/rainbow six, but the gameplay doesnt enforce this enough.
4. Enemy AI approaches too much. Simply going to a room and closing the door will have enemies rush you, making this not very tactica. The players are on a timer, make us have to flank and use the map to get advantage on camping enemies instead of having them all rush us. Machete and Heavy can rush, but the rest should not. If gun enemys are going to rush, they need to have better reactions or just start prefiring more, as its too easy to peak enemies and kill them at any distance. Would be cool if heavies waited to charge you until they heard you reload, so having friends cover you would be more important.
5. Enemies are simply too inaccurate and too slow to react to feel deadly. If i peak a sniper 4-5 times make them be ready to shoot me. If i open a door with a shotgun enemy behind it, have them actually land a good shot on me quickly so I pay for making mistakes.
6. Game lacks feedback when being shot.
7. Too many enemies on the last level, this doesnt feel great as a horde shooter, lean into the stealth/tactical elements and make us have to sneak out or make deadlier enemies instead of spawning too many enemies.
