While enemy difficulty and density is currently scaled based on campaign progress and squad size, it can be quite easy to complete missions (especially Strike missions requiring MERX kills) due to the current enemy density and count being spread all over the place especially on larger maps, meaning they all become easier to isolate and kill. The only time it poses a considerable difficulty currently is during the final extract after the 5 Star General kill.
Bumping up the enemy density and count in general would definitely up the difficulty, dissuade aggressive charge-in playstyles and encourage players to stick together.
