When exiting a settings menu, when told “unsaved changes will be lost” saying yes, should accept the changes and exit the menu. Saying no, should exit the menu without saving changes. Maybe add a cancel button too that doesn’t exit the menu.
When picking up items in the same slot, your old item should not get deleted! Also, show the player what they’re about to replace.
When introducing the player to the chock in the tutorial, place the chock on the other side of the door, and force the player to go around it, so they understand what it does. Maybe add a second locked door so you can guarantee the player interacted with it.
Shooting glass with a shotgun should instantly break it, if it can break down a door it can break glass.
When the interact prompt is shown, say what the player is about to do. Could be an icon, could be text. As funny as it was, I should not be taking a smoke grenade from my dead teammates back thinking it’s a defib!
When the player is going to shoot a wall they are visually looking past, like shooting around a corner, or any situation where the bullet is not going to go where the crosshair is, display that on the hud somehow! Could be as simple as a greyed out crosshair, or as complex as a crosshair that moves in 3d space.
On the map screen, left click to draw, right click to erase. (see Due Process for a great map drawing system)
Some way to view map in game. Something more interesting than pressing M would be cool. Maybe intel points? 0, no map, 1 basic overview, 2 shows player location, 3 shows intel. Maybe it’s an item you have to bring in and hold in your hands that other players can see? Or maybe just press M.
If you didn’t pick up the computer (or any objective) give a warning before the player presses the extract button. Still let the player do it anyway.
Make grenades a lil more bouncy so you can do corner shots
Zoom button with grenade should do underhand throw
Picking up items on top of resupply boxes should be more clear. Highlight item, and not box.
When shown ½ lives left, make it clear if you can do one more mission with 0 lives.
