More "Breach'n'Clear" situations
I personally feel like there should be more situations in which objectives are stuck behind barricaded doors and obstacles. Since mission timers have been removed (for now, at least), players should have an incentive to plan around locked areas and strategize with all the tools at their disposal. Lockpick could be used to create openings through locked doors and vents; Optiwand could be used to scan the area and figure out whether to use a breaching charge or a battering ram to avoid hurting an hostage.

Agreed. We are in a bit of a rock and hard place because we don’t want to soft lock players who forget to bring X equipment or who die on mission. But we also want to promote players using more gear.
Like I mentioned in another thread, we may test this in a little mini campaign where X item is required to complete the mission and see how we can use that for the main campaign.
Thanks for the feedback!

Potentially expand on the Strike missions perhaps since they are already optional? I remember hearing discussion being tossed around to give Strike missions some other external pressure factor, like a timer, but I also think that asking the player to bring a certain piece of equipment for them to be rewarded handsomely in turn could make Strike missions more engaging.
Optional objectives could also fit this critirea; players will be prioritizing their main objectives first, especially if there is some sort of time pressure (i.e. bomb defusal), and then once those are cleared, they could potentially secure more (optional) objectives for a larger cash bonus; however said objectives will require certain pieces of equipment, and could be marked visually in the planning phase.
