More interesting sidearms

Low prio, but I think the game would benefit from more interesting sidearms to be added into the game in the future. One thing I’m not a fan of in games like these is that you get a host of unique primary weapons, and sidearms are typically just pistols and more pistols. I like that there’s the inclusion of a taser as a secondary, and it’s always fun to put it in my loadout, but I wonder if there are more interesting ideas that could be added?

Things like a destructible riot shield, a single shot shotgun pistol, pepper spray (stunning instead of nonlethal takedown), etc.
