Operation Conditions

Implementing some additional features could be pretty neat. Here i’d like to talk about the implementation of:

  • map conditions

  • Proper working night vision

  • Canted/Laser ADS

  • Map hazzards that can be used against AI or against the player.

Map conditions:

Currently while every layout of the map is somewhat unique, would be cool for some operations to occur during night time, make the AI harder to see you ( decrease their vis-cone ) This opens up the door for some opportunities such as

  • implementing Specialised MerX ( maybe 3-4 Star Merx? ) Equipped with NVGs, gear, less rush-happy, more on the “flush him out and get multiple angles on him” type units.

  • Items on the map that can be used, IE, a radio could distract a Merx and get him off his patrol pattern, a fire extinguisher could be used as a small improvised smoke, won’t do much, byt could be enough to briefly lose line of sight. Lights that can be shot out, creates shadows, better hiding.

  • Rain, storm, fog, daytime, all of these could really have a bice impact on how an operation plays, maybe the players can select at what time the op takes place? Fog could make detection less of a problem. Storm and rain could be assurance that, not a lot of Merx may be on perimeter of the objective.

I know im missing the intrerior focused objectives here, but a breaker box / generator sabotage for lights could also be a neat idea to add, at the cost of putting Merx on edge, or even promting them to call in the Specialists i’ve mentioned, can prove to be a challenge.

Canted / Laser ADS

With the laser that RP provides? We are missing out on some sick canted aim here, won’t be too helpful, this is purely preference by me, but if NVGs do get added, would be a shame to miss out on IR Lasers and canted aim.
